I constantly hear myself apologizing for things that haven’t really warranted an apology; Ladies, I think you know what I’m talking about…
Apologizing if someone sees you without makeup… Feeling guilty if you’d rather stay home and watch Netflix than go out with your girlfriend… the list goes on! But let’s face it, women have a considerable amount of pressure these days! All you have to do is take a look at Pinterest to understand the pressure society and (let’s be honest) we put on ourselves. The pressure to cook like a chef, have the body of a gym owner, the house of an interior decorator, an amazing career, and all while maintaining a sexy Kim Kardashian-esque look! It’s exhausting! It’s no wonder we’re constantly apologizing for being unable to maintain the unrealistic standards we’ve set for ourselves.
That is why I wanted to make a list of the things I’m sorry but not sorry for…
We’ve all done it- you run into an acquaintance wearing no makeup and feel the need to apologize for your “undone” state. #sorrynotsorry
Yes, sometimes my coffee addiction leaves me with feelings of guilt. All that caffeine can’t be healthy for my body or wallet, right? But let’s be honest- I look forward to that hot mug full of “wake-up” every morning. #sorrynotsorry
I use to workout 6 days a week… these days it’s more like 3-4. I love exercising- I love the way I feel after a good workout- but there are days that I just don’t feel like hitting the gym- and that’s okay! #sorrynotsorry
Moral of the story- let’s stop apologizing for being human!
And if you have a moment, I would absolutely love it if you shared some of the things you’re sorry but not sorry for below!
